What are Email Aliases?

An 'Email Alias' is a feature that allows a person to have more than one name for a mailbox. For example, if you had an email address:

jason_smith@mydomainname

You can create aliases for this mail box to deal with misspellings of your email address, such as:

json_smith
jason
jsmith
smithj

These are all examples of an 'Email Alias'. Another use for this function could be if you have your email address:

jason_smith@mydomainname

But wish to receive email into the same mailbox, sent to:

enquiries
info

The mailbox jason_smith would also receive email's sent to enquiries@mydomainname.
